White Hedge Nettle

Stachys albens

A new garden addition, so I’m still seeing how this is going. White Hedge Nettle follows moisture (like many of the Hedge Nettles I have in my yard) so I have this in the back, in the shade where it stays cooler and moister. I can extend drip to it if I want but I’m trying it on hand watering first to see how it responds. May go summer dormant if not given water, so I’ve planted it away from the main sitting area so it can do its thing if it wants to. I’m hoping for a low, semi-evergreen groundcover in the shade. Check in next year and I’ll let you know how it’s going! If possible, try and touch the stems (gently)! They’re so soft and fuzzy!!
